Disney Culinary Program Seeks Aspring Chefs
After the announcement this spring of the return of the life-changing Disney College Program, we knew that the Disney Culinary Program would not be too far behind. Last week, Walt Disney World announced that the unique developmental experience is, in fact, seeking applicants.
“As a Disney Culinary Program participant at the Walt Disney World® Resort, you will become part of the magic that is known worldwide, gain on-the-job experience working in our parks and resorts,” the job post says.

“You will embark on a new journey with our Culinary Program as you create lasting impressions and unforgettable dining experiences for our guests from around the world. Master your craft as you work side-by side with culinary leaders in areas that range from catering and fine dining to pastry and quick-service,” the job description adds.
Programs begin on dates between August 2021 and March 2022. Lengths vary depending on school requirements. Program positions include various culinary assistant roles like Cook II and Baking & Pastry. .
Duties of the latter include learning how to build those incredible Disney Wedding cakes, especially for those with more years of baking experience. In fact, for those with significant pastry work in their past, applicants may receive a Baking & Pastry I role.
Participants should already have experience with knife skills. They should also have a desire to learn more about guest services and the food and beverage industries. To apply to the Culinary Program, participants must be enrolled in a Culinary Arts or Baking progrm or studying toward a Baking and Pâtisserie Science degree either full-time or part-time.
If selected, Disney Culinary Program participants receive hourly wages ranging from $15.40 an hour to $19.00 per hour. To learn more, visit the Disney Culinary Program’s website.
