Mystery as Na’vi Animatronic Disappears from Pandora: The World of Avatar
There’s a rumble in Animal Kingdom today, as an iconic animatronic has mysteriously disappeared over in Pandora: The World of Avatar!
Whilst in-line to ride Avatar Flight of Passage, we noticed the tank which usually houses the huge, “life-size” Na’vi animatronic was covered up by some new prop elements.

But, alas, this is what we found instead…
As you can see in our photo, the top of the tank is still visible, yet the Na’vi it houses cannot be seen. Instead, we were greeted with a themed barrier, completely blocking the view.
Whether the Na’vi avatar is in there or not, at least its “perceptive simulations” remain “active”! Hopefully this is a good sign?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer any intel on the reason this queue element has been barricaded off. However, the barrier used is evidently fit for purpose, blending in with the laboratory scene well, and covering the tank to near precision. From this it could be inferred that the situation was planned, suggesting either general maintenance on the animatronic or covering up a more complex fault, but we cannot say for sure at this stage.
All the other scenic elements remained as they were, and of course this didn’t impact our banshee flight in any way.
