Price of ESPN+ Increases by $1 a Month Next Month
Yesterday, the Walt Disney Co. confirmed that the price of its sports streaming service, ESPN+, will increase by one dollar next month. The content-rich subscription service will now cost $6.99 instead of $5.99.
The annual price of a subscription will also increase from $59.99 to $69.99 per year next month. The only price not set to change is that for the Disney streaming services bundle. The package includes ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu. The price for that group remains $13.99.
The price of Disney+ already increased multiple times since its 2019 debut. The price difference between basic Hulu and Disney+ is two dollars, with Disney+ currently costing $7.99 a month and Hulu $5.99 a month for a basic package.
Even Hulu experienced a price increase recently. In December, the price of the Hulu Live TV bundle increased to $65 a month. That represented a $10 increase each month.
The ESPN+ streaming service also provides pay-per-view UFC matches. Luckily, those prices will remain the same.
In other sports network news, ESPN also appears to be preparing to launch their own Sportsbook. Already a massigve name in sports, ESPN certainly could claim its share of the enormous market. Already, Fox Sports and Sports Illustrated found ways to either launch their own sportsbooks or partner to bring one to the market.
