“Jungle Cruise” Stars Hilariously Visit GMA Today
After filming “Jungle Cruise” in 2018, stars Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson certainly have been patiently waiting for fans to finally see the new feature film. Today, they stopped by “Good Morning America” to share their excitment that the movie finally hits theatres in just a couple weeks.
“It’s sort of surreal but thrilling. This movie really captured our hearts, and just for it to be seen finally, it’s just awesome,” Blunt said in an interview alongside co-star Dwayne Johnson with “Good Morning America”‘s TJ Holmes.

“To have us be the next movie to come out is very, very exciting,” Johnson told Holmes in the interview, discussing the influx of people finally returning to movie theatres for entertainment.
Great Comedy On and Off-Screen
The story’s narrative takes us on a hilarious and mishap-plagued adventure with Blunt’s Dr. Lily Houghton.She hires Johnson’s Frank Wolff, a jokester-of-a-skipper, to guide her through the Amazon. Houghton searches for an ancient tree that holds healing powers, but their vessel proves to not be the perfect choice for such an adventure.

The pair shows an incredible comedic chemistry even in the featurettes released so far, and apparently, the hilarious friendship spills into their real lives as well.

“This really is the funniest dynamic in the world in the film, and it sort of mirrors that in life,” Blunt said regarding the comaraderie between the set of co-stars.
“Jungle Cruise” arrives in theatres on July 30th. The film will also be available with Premiere Access on Disney+ the same day.
