We’re at ‘Ohana For Their First Dinner Since Reopening
If you were following along with us here at MickeyBlog earlier this morning than you’ll know that Greg and Elyssa popped over to the Polynesian Village Resort for the first ‘Ohana breakfast since the COVID-19 shutdown.
They just couldn’t stay away and are back at this beloved Table Service eatery to try out their dinner offering. We hope you brought your appetites- let’s dive in.
For those unfamiliar, the dinner at ‘Ohana will set you back $55 per adult (not including tax and gratuity) and $33 per child. The meal starts off with ‘Ohana Coconut-Papaya Scones and Cheddar-Bacon Biscuits
with Honey Butter.
A gorgeous Mixed Greens Salad was also brought to our table.
Above are the Honey Coriander Chicken Wings.
Here’s a closer look at the delicious Pork Dumplings Tossed in Garlic-Chili Sauce.
For vegetarian diners you can order up plant-based options like the Fired Wonton’s with Hummus.
Online petitions were started when ‘Ohana first released their dinner menu and there was no sign of their sesame noodles. But low and behold here they are!
You can tell that they’re a personal favorite of Greg’s!
Here’s a closer look at the main skillet that is brought to the table. All meals at ‘Ohana are served family-style.
This family-style platter includes:
- Woodfire-grilled Teriyaki Beef
- Island Shrimp Casserole with Herbed Breadcrumbs
- Roasted 8-way Chicken with a Polynesian-style Chimichurri Sauce
- Kielbasa Sausage
- ‘Ohana Noodles
- Roasted Broccolini.
Above is a closer look at the Beef Teriyaki which is a personal favorite!
For those wondering, there is still live music played during dinner. Here are a couple of videos that Greg took!
This really set the tone and made us so excited to be back at ‘Ohana!
We absolutely loved the soothing island sounds of the ukulele!
It wouldn’t be dinner at ‘Ohana without some fancy drinks!
Above you’ll see the Pina CoLava which is made with Bacardi Raspberry Rum blended with flavors of Coconut, Pineapple, and Raspberry Purée. To the right is the famous Lapu Lapu made with Plantation Original Dark Rum and Tropical Fruit Juices served in a fresh Pineapple and topped with Gosling’s 151 Rum.
As you can see it was a fairly busy dinner crowd! It’s so nice to see guests returning for this dining experience.
As ‘Ohana fans will tell you this dessert is the real deal!
The ‘Ohana Bread Pudding comes a’la mode with a homemade caramel sauce.
Trust us when we say that it is positively divine!
We also had a small skillet with a cookie and a brownie brought to our table which were equally as delicious!
