WATCH: Mickey & the Gang Celebrate the Opening of Cars ROAD TRIP in Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris finally reopened its gates last month and, as if that wasn’t exciting enough, a range of highly-anticipated experiences also became available to guests.
From the long-awaited opening of Disney’s Hotel New York: The Art of MARVEL to the magical debut of the Disney Junior Dream Factory show, we didn’t know what to do first. But, it looks like it wasn’t just us guests who were eager to experience the resort’s newest attraction…
In an adorable new video released by the resort, we can see clips of the newly-reimagined Cars ROAD TRIP attraction, and some familiar faces excitedly tagging along for an exciting ride down Route 66.
It looks like Mickey and Minnie invited all the gang to join them on the road trip adventure, meeting Lightning McQueen, Mater, and pals along the way.
How cute are the chipmunks’ adorable little giggles? They sound as excited as we are for the park to finally be open once more!
We love seeing Donald Duck and Goofy, clad in their snazziest vacation wear, taking selfies on the attraction.
Selfies really do seem to be all the rage at the Disneyland Paris resort right now, with the COVID-19 pandemic leading to the creation of new ‘Selfie Spots’ for guests to take socially distanced snaps with characters. It’s fun to see the characters snapping selfies too!
Cars ROAD TRIP is now open in the Walt Disney Studios Park, immersing guests into the world of Disney and Pixar’s Cars as they travel on a streetcar through Radiator Springs.
As we can see in the Cars Road Trip video clip, however, there will be some dramatic surprises along the way!
Formerly the Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic, this new attraction takeover still features the iconic Catastrophe Canyon experience, yet newly-embellished with Cars elements. This latest retheme is consistent with a recent string of attraction and resort reimagining based on existing Disney IP.
Still, it is exciting to get a taste of the iconic American Route 66 over here in France, and amusing that it coincides with more French details appearing in Orlando.
