Take a Look at the 4th of July Fireworks at Magic Kingdom
Happy 4th of July Disney friends.
We thought what better way to end the day here at MickeyBlog than sharing with you a look at this evening’s Magic Kingdom fireworks.
If you’ve been following along with us then you’ll know that after a year of being on hiatus the fireworks are back at Disney World.
We were so delighted to hear that Magic Kingdom would once again be doing nightly fireworks in time for 4th of July.
Greg and Elyssa were there tonight to capture photos of the special elements added in for the 4th of July. This included the return of the Flag Retreat, beautiful red, white and blue decorations down Main Street USA and a patriot show from the Dapper Dans!
Just look how beautiful Cinderella Castle looks with its stars and stripes castle projections.
After the year we’ve had, it was an emotional and patriotic return to normalcy.
Despite iffy weather, there was a wonderful turnout for tonight’s fireworks display.
Look how wonderfully red the spires look.
We also love the way that Magic Kingdom’s new 50th Anniversary decorations on the castle glimmer in the lights.
The red, white and blue projections gave way to a stunning evening fireworks display that absolutely dazzled.
Here’s a look at this evenings fireworks from Greg’s spot at the HUB.
We love the beautiful hues of red, green and white.
MickeyBlog was also at Magic Kingdom on July 1st for the opening night to capture the return of Happily Ever After.
It was an emotional moment for sure as there is something extra special about being at Magic Kingdom on Independence Day.
Just look at those beautiful castle projections.
It was a multitude of colors with fireworks in hues of reds, greens, golds, purples and blues!
We were so lucky that the skies cleared and the views were beautiful!
Below you can see some of the glistening blue and gold pyrotechnics.
As well as the beautiful champagne-colored display.
The Happily Ever After fireworks will once again take place nightly at Magic Kingdom.
In addition the EPCOT Forever fireworks also reopened this week.
It is once again dazzling guests with its beautiful lasers and fireworks over the World Showcase Lagoon.
EPCOT will offer the EPCOT Forever nighttime spectacular through October 1st.
It will transition to the new Harmonious show which will feature water projections and celebrate the impact of Disney music around the world.
As of going to print, Hollywood Studios has yet to make an announcement regarding whether their nighttime shows will return.
If you remember Hollywood Studios was doing a nighttime Star Wars themed show with projections onto the Chinese Theater as well as Fantasmic! which we do know is currently under renovation.
In addition Animal Kingdom has yet to say whether their Rivers of Light will be making a return.
However, Disney recently shared the news that Animal Kingdom will be holding a daytime kite show to coincide with Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
We’ll be paying close attention to further nighttime updates and we promise to keep you posted.
We’ll leave you on this special holiday with a few more images of the nighttime fireworks display at Magic Kingdom taken this evening. .
Below you’ll find some beautiful golden and orange colored fireworks.
The display felt absolutely massive as it rained down over Cinderella Castle.
One of our favorite castle projections are the stained glass which you can see below.
Tonight the display almost seemed bigger and better than usual.
Every moment felt like a grand finale.
With the fireworks back at the park Disney World really feels like it did before the pandemic.
This is also reflected in the crowds which packed the HUB this evening.
Disney previously announced that they are hoping to return the parks to pre-pandemic capacities by the Fall.
You definitely get a feeling that this is already starting to take place.
The crowds have seemed much heavier than they did at the start of the Summer.
Magic Kingdom has not yet said if/when they will bring back their afternoon parades.
However, with the return of fireworks we hope that it won’t be long before we’re able to enjoy the Festival of Fantasy once again.
Here are a few more images showing the stunning array of colors from bold yellows.
To bright pinks.
This is a time of HUGE changes but keep following along with us here at MickeyBlog and we promise to keep you posted!
We’ll also be coming to you LIVE from the theme parks each and every week!
