New ‘Coco’ Scene Coming to ‘Mickey’s PhilarMagic’ at Disney Parks Around the World
I am excited to report that Disney has just confirmed that a new “Coco” scene will be coming to “Mickey’s PhilarMagic” at three Disney Parks around the world. This makes the first time a scene from Pixar will be featured in the show.
The new musical number from “Coco,” titled “Un Poco Loco” is scheduled to debut at “Mickey’s PhilarMagic” at Disney California Adventure Park in the Disneyland Resort as well as Disneyland Paris on July 17, 2021.

The new number will also be added to the attraction in the Magic Kingdom later this year – just in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.”
It’s important to note that the “Un Poco Loco” scene will be the first time both animators from Disney and Pixar have combined forces where popular characters from both studios will be together on one screen as Guests of the attraction will see popular characters from “Coco” alongside the humor of Donald Duck.
On a side note – It’s interesting that Disney reference combing Donald Duck and “Coco.” Rumors have been swirling for sometime that the Three Cabaleros attraction inside the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT would be re-themed to a “Coco” theme. Is another mash-up coming soon as well?
To keep the authenticity of the original movie, Disney has tapped the film’s original composer, Germain Franco, to produce the score for the new scene coming to “Mickey’s PhilarMagic.”
