Star Wars: The High Republic Wave 2 Begins
The Star Wars galaxy expands again, as the second wave of The High Republic sets pages to turning….
I love it when I can report in real-time.
Today, I began listening to Cavan Scott’s The Rising Storm on Audible. And, truthfully, I was so captivated. I found myself sitting in my car, just imbibing the prose and enjoying the story as I waited for my groceries.
Having to turn it off and go into the house was really, really hard. But I am very thankful that I am able to enjoy new Star Wars for a little while every day. So, tonight I look forward to my morning commute (at least a little, anyway).
Prefacing the premiere of the new books of Wave 2, StarWars.com posted:
Today, Star Wars: The High Republic: The Rising Storm and Star Wars: The High Republic: Race to Crashpoint Tower hit store shelves, including some special edition covers and posters, with Star Wars: The High Republic: Out of the Shadows arriving July 27… And, if you have yet to begin your journey, you can pick up the first wave of ebooks — Star Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, Star Wars: The High Republic: A Test of Courage, and Star Wars: The High Republic: Into the Dark.”
Wave 1 Recap
Now, also truthfully, I am not yet done with everything in Wave 1, which includes two comic book runs, as well.
However, if you want to catch up, our good friends at Star Wars Explained pulled together a terrific [spoiler] synopsis.
Meanwhile, if you want to know more about this expansive publishing event, StarWars.com listed resources.
- The High Republic writers talk about the project on On the Comlink.
- Race to Crashpoint Tower excerpt.
- The Rising Storm excerpt.
Moreover, the official Star Wars site also shared a Wave 2 preview trailer, too.
Star Wars: The High Republic | The Adventure Continues
New stories, new adventures, and new threats to the galaxy. The epic saga continues…
And, if you want, even more, Star Wars Explained added a non-spoiler review of The Rising Storm.
Although I have only listened to a few new chapters, I have to agree with the sentiments of Alex Damon of Star Wars Explained. He hit the nail on the head in terms of the drama and anticipation building in just a few moments of The Rising Storm.
