Kevin Feige Shares Statement As ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Begins Production
One of Marvel’s most anticipated sequels, while also being one of their most complicated due to unforeseen circumstances, the continuation of the story of T’Challa is just setting off; with that news, Kevin Feige shares a statement as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever begins production.
One of the major successes of the decade-long run of Marvel Studios was the immeasurable cultural impact, and unprecedented critical praise bestowed upon the company’s 2018 release, Black Panther.
The film followed the inheritor of the Black Panther legacy, T’Challa, in a quest to discover himself, as he discovered his royal task to lead the people of Wakanda as their new king.
The greatest part of the film’s success has to be attributed to the incredible performance of T’Challa himself, the late Chadwick Boseman.

With Boseman taken much time soon, the Black Panther franchise has decided to move forward; not without the phenomenal actor, but with his constant presence stitched into the very fabric of the films and their undeniable purpose that Boseman so embodied.
According to comicbook.com, Taking time away from the Black Widow Global Fan Event, Kevin Feige shares a statement on the Black Panther sequel, and the effect that Bosemans physical absence will have on the film, and those working diligently to bring it to life.

When discussing the conflicting emotions facing those working on Black Panther, Feige stated, “It’s clearly very emotional without Chad, But everyone is also very excited to bring the world of Wakanda back to the public and back to the fans.”
The Marvel head concluded with a powerful statement, that perhaps sets the entire motive for the franchise moving forward, “We’re going to do it in a way that would make Chad proud.”

Ryan Coogler, the director of the first Black Panther film, is returning to the same role in Wakanda Forever; which should help the franchise move forward without its former star.
With other co-stars returning to the series, fans can only put their faith in Feige, and the team at Marvel, to develop the next chapter of the Black Panther story to be one that both pays homage to Chadwick’s life and legacy, while also pushing the character and the universe, forward.
