BREAKING NEWS: Citricos Is Reopening on July 15th
Boy do we have some exciting news to share with you on this Tuesday afternoon. Citricos the beloved table-serviced eatery will open up at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort starting on July 15th.
If that’s not exciting enough, Citricos has also undergone some very exciting changes over the past several months. First off is an updated interior which pays homage to the whimsy and elegance of May Poppins Returns.
So what can guests expect from this redesign? The atmosphere will be taking subtle queues from the animated sequence in the film complete with a fanciful garden setting. Trust us when we say it will be the perfect place to “trip a little light fantastic.” surrounded by decorated lamps and chandeliers.
But let’s talk about the real reason we’re here. The food! Chef Andres Mendoza has crafted a brand new menu. Starters ihighlights will include Sweet Corn Bisque with pickled fennel popcorn and fennel oil!
Other highlights include the Strawberry Salad with chamomile-infused goat cheese, frisee lettuce, bacon vinaigrette and sunflower seeds.
Moving on to the entrees, be on the lookout for Butter-poached Florida Cobia with mashed fingerling potatoes, grilled asparagus and local mushrooms with a grapefruit beurre blanc and Guava Barbequed Short Ribs. with aged cheddar grits, roasted poblano, curtido slaw and Brussels sprouts.
Also be sure to save room for dessert to try out the Warm Apple Rose with seasonal applies, marzipan layers and frozen coconut milk as well as the Chocolate Torte where a dark chocolate financier is filled with dark cherry compote and vanilla bean mascarpone cream.
