Wolfgang Puck On “Wolfgang” Documentary
The original “Celebrity Chef” gives his reaction to the documentary about his life…
Full disclosure, I have never eaten anything connected to Wolfgang Puck. Moreover, if given the chance, previously, I probably would’ve declined. “He’s just that dude on TV…”

But now, reading the news and seeing previews of Puck’s upcoming Disney+ documentary — Wolfgang — has changed my opinion.
And I haven’t even seen the film, yet!
Proving People Wrong

I love this line from the trailer:
“I want to prove him wrong…”
Wolfgang’s words, spoken regarding Puck’s step-father’s telling him to stay out of the kitchen if he wanted to be a “real man.”
Furthermore, the more I read about Puck, the more I want to buy the guy a beer.

Case in point, Puck recently told an interviewer the reason he made the film.
“I want young people to know that adversity sometimes makes you stronger,” he told Reuters. “You just have to fight through it… and don’t give up.
I think a lot of young people give up too fast and too easily.”
“Success doesn’t come overnight,” added Puck, who left his native Austria for the United States at age 24.
The First Celebrity Chef

The documentary, which documents Puck’s rise from an unknown chef to the first “Celebrity Chef” explains the adversity he overcame in his rise to prominence.
After watching the premiere, Puck told the interviewer, “I was holding the hand of my wife and sometimes I started to shake because I felt still my old life in the inside, it didn’t escape me.

“It’s still in there,” he said. “And it almost like came to the surface.
“But then afterward, we went to…our restaurant in New York and had a dinner and we drank enough.”
Coming Attraction: Wolfgang
The documentary premieres on Jun 25 on Disney+.

Disney+ posted:
As a teenager in Austria, Wolfgang Puck harnessed his love of cooking to escape the harsh rule of his stepfather. A local apprenticeship forged his path to training at a revered French restaurant before landing in America at age 24… Almost by accident, Puck created the concept of a “celebrity chef” with his decades-spanning television appearances, building a staggering global empire of restaurants, cafes, and products for home cooks. But at home, the frenetic professional demands disrupted his family life.
