8 Disneyland Planning Must-dos
For the first time in a long time, you may be thinking about returning to the Happiest Place on Earth and that’s where we come in.
We (with a little help from our friends at Disney ) have assembled a handful of Disneyland pointers to help you make the most of your Disneyland getaway.
Visit Main Street, U.S.A.
A great place to start during your Disneyland visit is Main Street USA where you can bask in the turn of the 20th Century vibes. This includes horse-drawn streetcars, classic candy shop, Disneyland band and even (my favorite) a magic shop!
See Spectacular Fireworks!
Independence Day is just around the corner and to celebrate Disneyland is bringing back “Mickey’s Mix Magic.” This dazzling show will be presented nightly throughout the summer in Disneyland park. State -of-the-art projections, incredible lighting, special effects and lasers transform Main Street USA.
You’ll also want to head over to check out the facade of “its a small world” and participate in a dazzling, high-energy, family fun dance party with stunning pyrotechnics celebrating Mickey Mouse.
Embark on Exciting Adventures!
Get ready for exciting one-of-a-kind experiences. So great starting points are Davy Crockett Explorer Canoe, taking a raft ride over to Tom Sawyer Island, stepping into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and head to the highway with Radiator Springs Racers. Oh an let’s not forget the NEW Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park.

Play at Pixar Pier and More!
Hang out with your favorite Pixar friends from Toy Story, Incredibles, Inside Out and more. You’ll visit four exciting neighborhoods inspired by Pixar’s most beloved films.
We also recommend a stop at Animation Academy and Sorcerer’s Workshop where you can learn some Animation tricks of the trade!
Try Lots of Fabulous Foods!
With all of this adventuring, you’re sure to work up an appetite. Thankfully Disney has so many incredible eateries that you are spoiled for choice. Some of our favorites include: Oga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge, Tiki Juice Bar and Docking Bay 7.
Before your visit, don’t forget to download the Disneyland app which is the main way to order food and beverages at the theme parks. You order and pay for your food via your mobile phone which eliminates the need wait in line and when you’re ready your food will be there waiting for you.
Disney is adding new mobile order locations constantly so be on the lookout for awesome places to dine using the service. Oh, and don’t forget to make your reservations for Oga’s Cantina and other quick service restaurants that sell out quickly.

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
Stay Onsite
There is no shortage of incredible places to stay in Anaheim but we’re pretty partial to the incredible accommodation you’ll find at each of Disney’s onsite resort properties. Disneyland is even currently offering a room discount at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the Disneyland Hotel saving up to to 25% on rooms from July 5- October 2, 2021.

Shop!
Save up so that you can check out some of the awesome merchandise you’ll find at at Disneyland shops including Pooh Corner (in Critter Country), Sarge’s Surplus Hut (cars Land) and Pin collectors must be sure to stop by 20th Century Music Company on Main Street U.S.A.. This awesome shop also carries soundtracks to your favorite Disney films!
The shopping awesomeness isn’t just limited to the theme parks. Be sure you set aside a bit of time to visit Downtown Disney District where you’ll find a unique variety of shops, restaurants, limited-time photo ops and more! There’s also World of Disney where you can find almost any Disney treat imaginable.
Have you tried merchandise mobile checkout at World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District? You can easily scan your treasures to purchase and checkout using the Disneyland app. Keep a lookout, as this feature will be coming soon to the Emporium in Disneyland park and Elias & Co. at Disneyland California Adventure park.
Don’t Forget to Make Your Park Pass Reservations
To visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks, a separate theme park ticket and a park reservation for the same date and same park are required for park entry. Park reservations are limited and subject to availability, and a hotel reservation does not guarantee theme park access. Visit Disneyland.com for the latest details and all you need to know before you go!
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for more awesome advice on experiencing the theme parks like a pro!
