BREAKING: New Mickey & Pals Cavalcade Set for 50th
Walt Disney World announced huge plans today for the 50th anniversary celebration that begins in October. “Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade” certainly adds a huge sprinkle of sparkly pixie dust to the festivities.
The new daytime mini-parade will travel throughout the park multiple times a day and feature Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse along with some of their best buddies: Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale.
“Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will be your hosts for ‘The World’s Most Magical Celebration,’ and they’ll be decked out in sparkling new EARidescent fashions for the 50th anniversary. As you can see in the photo above, their best pals want to get in on the shimmer, too, as Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto, and Chip ‘n’ Dale will be sporting their own custom-made EARidescent looks beginning Oct. 1,” according to Disney Parks Blog.
The new looks debuted for Mickey and Minnie a while back, but today was the first moment that we so the dazzling celebratory ensembles for their rest of their crew. The array of bright blues across the spectrum for the hue shine thanks to the gold touches throughout. The same bold colors also now appear throughout Fantasyland and Cinderella Castle.
Adding to the excitement for Mickey and his gang, Disney also unveiled today a series of bronze statues that will mark the anniversary at the resort.
Titled the “Disney Fab 50,” the collection of bronze shining sculptures will appear across all four theme parks at Walt Disney World beginning October 1st.

The cavalcade and statue announcment today kicked off on “Good Morning America” before Disney released a wealth of exciting new entertainment coming to the Walt Disney World resort this fall in honor of its 50th anniversary. Two new nighttime spectaculars will debut at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT as well as a daytime kite-flying spectacular at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
