Relaxing Island Vibes at Disney’s Old Key West Resort
Disney’s Old Key West, the original Disney Vacation Club, provides relaxing island vibes and helps you escape the action of the parks.
Old Key West is the original Disney Vacation Club. The resort is modeled after Key West and given the fictitious name of Conch Flats.
Location
Old Key West resort is centrally located near Disney Springs. The resort offers boat transportation to Disney Springs making it an excellent location for those who love dining at Disney Springs.
Unfortunately during the phased reopening the friendship boats have not returned.
Old Key West resort provides bus transportation to all four theme parks. It is a large resort and has five bus stops and 49 villa buildings.
If you are driving a car, Old Key West is convenient because you can park right outside your building. We found that driving our car was quicker than using the Disney transportation.
Dining
Disney’s Old Key West Resort has only one table service restaurant, Olivia’s. Olivia’s serves American cuisine with Caribbean influences. Olivia’s is also currently offering to-go ordering on the mobile app.
Old Key West does not have a full service quick service location. The restaurants offer walk up quick service dining at Good’s Food to Go and Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks.
Old Key West is also home to the Gurgling Suitcase Bar.
Old Key West is connected via boat to Disney Springs giving guests more dining options.
Recreation
Old Key West has four pools. The feature pool is called the Sandcastle Pool. It includes a 125 foot water slide, kids play area, and kiddie pool. The resort also features 3 quiet pools.
Old Key West is home to the original Community Hall. Old Key West also features bike rentals, surrey bike rentals, foosball, fishing, tennis, volleyball, and an arcade.
Accommodations
Old Key West is a Disney Vacation Club Resort. The room categories include a deluxe studio, one bedroom, two bedroom, and a grand villa.
Old Key West has some of the largest size rooms within Disney Vacation Club.
The deluxe studios sleep 4 and include two queen beds, a small kitchenette, and a dining table.
Old Key West is the only deluxe studio that features two queen beds instead of one queen bed and a sleeper sofa.
The one bedroom villas and larger feature a living room, full kitchen, and laundry facilities. Old Key West is an economical option for families wanting to stay in a villa than some of the other Disney Vacation Club Resorts.
