Benches Are Back In Canada, Eh?
Another sign of normalcy, as the Mill Stage at Epcot’s Canada Pavilion, gets its benches back…
Back in 2005, when I used to order Disney planning DVDs as often as they would send them, there was a particular skit that was very close to my heart.
Benches In Disney World
The Dad-looking actor, playing a character called “Dave,” told the audience that he was essentially the guy in the group to talk about R&R. HE was going to tell us how to find quiet spots and sit back and enjoy the quiet moments at Walt Disney World. So, among a carload of type-A personality, here was “The Dude.”
And, I think — at least three times — Dave finds himself on a bench that he declares worthy of his sitting down.
Stone bench in Adventureland.
Wire bench.
A freshly placed bench in front of Cinderella Castle. “Bless you, guys…”
I think the above antique-style bench was his favorite. Mine, too. I am getting old.
But I digress. Sort’ve.
Benches In Canada
Today we are talking about benches, again. However, this time we are talking about Canadian benches.
That is benches in Epcot’s Canada Pavilion which were lately returned to the light of day.
My goodness, Dave would be impressed. Look at those beautiful benches!
As a reminder, we are near the entrance to the Canada Pavilion, at The Mill Stage.
It’s The JAMMitors!
Of course, you understand that social distancing dictated that benches go away.
And folks seem pretty happy to see their resting places back in place.
Honestly, it’s still so surprising to see folks cuddled up at all; on top of no masks!
I mean, call me, “Dave.” I am very, very excited to see benches at Walt Disney World.
All Aboot The JAMMitors
Of course, there are a whole lot of people excited to see the JAMMitors!
