Loki provided fans with no shortage of exciting new, world-building, elements in the series premiere episode.
Introducing fans to the previously unknown Time Variance Authority, and setting up Earth-616’s, 2012, Loki; fans of Marvel’s expansive cinematic universe were given something brand new, and wildly imaginative, to curve their endless fan theory and speculation.

With all that took place in the premiere episode, most fans found themselves with more questions than answers while the end credits rolled.
The biggest of all; just who is that hooded Loki Variant that’s in the final shot? And what can fans make of this newly reshapen MCU?
One thing is certain, writer Michael Waldron has rewritten the rules of the MCU.
In a world where infinity stones are no greater than paperweights, and where a divine triune of beings sit outside of space and time, in a realm untouched by magic or sorcery.
Waldron, and Marvel, have set up the next evolution of the MCU. In a universe post, the infinity Saga and the threat of the Mad Titan, Thanos, Loki has clearly shown that the power lay with these few who exist outside of time itself.

This newfound power is exactly where the MCU will find its next, and perhaps its greatest, threat.
Enter Kang The Conqueror.

With Marvel’s continued inspiration coming from the comics, it appears Loki is perfectly setting up the appearance, and debut, of one of Marvel comics’ most feared foes.
Throughout all of Marvel comics, the character perhaps most known to operate in the realm of time travel is Kang; as the ruthless villain collects his power through his ability to maneuver through time.

One theory suggests the Loki variant that Mobius and the TVA are chasing is, in fact, Kang the Conqueror. Reports of the MCU casting Jonathan Majors to play the villainous Kang in Ant-Man Quantomania, however, prove that this is most likely not the case.
If the Loki variant isn’t Kang, but we know his debut is certainly coming in the near future; what does this mean for his impending threat to the MCU?

It means that, like Thanos before him, Kang’s appearance is imminent; and the entire MCU is being prepped for his eventual arrival.
As a master of time, and with his power already being foreshadowed to be greater than any Infinity Stone; Kang will present the greatest threat to the entire MCU.

Could history repeat itself, with the Loki variant being a harbinger for Kang’s conquest, as he once was for Thanos?
Ciuld the seeds of the Kang Dynasty be forming; With a timekeeper’s witness of Thanos near success, and knowledge of the limitless power of time?
Fans will have to continue tuning in to see just where the story goes, but one thing is for sure; Marvel’s Loki will set up the MCU’s greatest threat.
