Keeping Up With THE Jones: Harrison Ford Is Still Fit
If you can’t keep up with 78-year-old Harrison Ford – join the club!
These days, the stories out of the UK revolve around “Indy 5” set shots and photos of Harrison Ford looking annoyed at paparazzi and autograph seekers. But you’d have to be oblivious not to notice Mr. Ford bringing the gun show with him everywhere he goes.
The bulging veins on Dr. Jones’ forearms, the sweater-stretching pecks, and the visible abs on the 78-year-old carpenter-turned-actor are impressive. But the results are nowhere near as impressive as his regime.
Harrison Ford is Fit
The actor, 79 next month, has been cycling up to 40 miles a day, taking plenty of walks, and eating energy-boosting supplement bars.
The punishing regime – after just six hours of sleep – helped him to manage an 11-hour night-time filming schedule in the North East.
Ford has been filming the fifth Indiana Jones movie at Bamburgh Castle, 50 miles north of Newcastle.
Photos of Harrison in front of a local bike shop seem to put an exclamation point on the whole scenario.
And certainly, Instagram posts like the below don’t hurt Harrison’s reputation for fitness, either:

The Ships Cat North Shield’s Instagram account recounted, “Imagine sitting here enjoying your coffee then you look over and it’s…. Indiana Jones!”
And here’s hoping that pictures like the below belay any more worries or complaints about Dr. Jones’ age going into the legendary franchise’s fifth installment.
Meanwhile, one local celebrity, musician Sam Fender tweeted:
I still can’t get over the fact that Harrison Ford was in North Shields today. Han Solo was on the Fish Quay man. Shields is the one ☝️

“I still can’t get over the fact that Harrison Ford was in North Shields today…” he posted.
And we can’t blame him. It’s not every day that Harrison Ford, Han Solo, Rick Deckard, Jack Ryan, and Indiana Jones visit your hometown.
Stay tuned for more from the UK on the trail of Indy 5.
