Pooh and the Queen Celebrate Their 95th Birthdays
How exciting, Winnie the Pooh and the Queen celebrate their 95th birthdays in a new animation clip! Of course, the silly ole bear brings Her Majesty a very special and appropriate gift!
95 Years Young
It just so happens that Winnie the Pooh and Queen Elizabeth both turn 95 years old this year. While the Queen’s birthday was on April 21, Pooh Bear celebrates his milestone in October.
Although the Queen’s birthdate is April 21, the official celebration will be on Saturday, June 12. As a matter of fact, her celebration is directly after the Duke of Edinburgh’s 100th birthday on June 10.
Sadly, Queen Elizabeth’s birthday was only four days after Prince Philip’s funeral. Therefore, it has been a difficult year for Queen Elizabeth, to say the least.
As always, however, Winnie the Pooh represents friendship, joy, and love to millions around the world. Therefore, Pooh and his friends are timely and exceptional guests for the Queen!
“Winnie the Pooh and the Royal Adventure”
The 45-second clip is appropriately titled “Winnie the Pooh and the Royal Adventure.” During the animation clip, Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore travel from the Hundred Acre Wood to Windsor Castle.
Interestingly, there are brief glimpses of Queen Elizabeth sketched in Disney fashion. Indeed, her animation is a creative touch to a Disney classic!
Curiously, the Queen notices her guests from afar while gazing out the window. However, she sees more than just Pooh and his friends coming down the walkway.
Appropriately, the visitors have a very special gift for Her Majesty. Uniquely, they give the Queen a giant pot of honey and 95 balloons for the special occasion!
Of course, Queen Elizabeth humbly accepts the gift, and they wave goodbye. That is until they reunite for the next celebration!
Disney Creativity
The animation clip was created by Kim Raymond, a Disney artist. Certainly, E.H. Shepard, the illustrator of A.A. Milne’s original books, was his inspiration.
Impressively, Kim Raymond has drawn Pooh for 30 years. So naturally, he remains honored to draw Winnie the Pooh, especially when it involves Queen Elizabeth.
Old Friends
However, Winnie the Pooh and the Queen met five years ago. Therefore, they are already friends!
The story titled “Winnie the Pooh and the Royal Birthday” recognized their 90th birthdays. Once again, Pooh Bear and the Queen celebrate their 95th birthdays together.
