Boba Fett To The Rescue For Disney+?
It looks like The Book of Boba Fett will bridge the gap between The Mandalorian Seasons 1 & 2….
With three different Disney+ Star Wars films currently in production, it makes sense to wonder aloud which shows will be streaming this year? What’s coming next?
But what if I told you The Mandalorian, Season 3…
- Is not one of the shows currently (recently) filming.
- May not even begin production until next year.
Obi-Wan, Andor, and Boba Fett are currently in the works.
Fear not, however; The Book of Boba Fett will definitely hit the air in 2022.
The Book of Boba Fett will be a more closely-linked spinoff as well and sources have told us to think of the series as “The Mandalorian Season 2.5,” with characters from The Mandalorian slated to appear in the series that currently co-stars Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand.
Now, there’s been plenty of news coming out of The Mandalorian camp.
Breaking It Down
Thankfully, Bespin Bulletin — quickly becoming a staple stop on Instagram — aggregated a ton of news with three recent posts:

Hurry Up And Wait
And, Collider says filming for The Mandalorian won’t start until late this year (at the earliest).
“Upcoming spinoff series The Book of Boba Fett has officially wrapped filming and is on schedule for a December premiere on Disney+, as was previously confirmed,” wrote Lane. “The Mandalorian, which reintroduced Temuera Morrison’s bounty hunter to the Star Wars franchise, revealed the new spinoff at the end of Season 2, and The Book of Boba Fett has been filming in Los Angeles on the same stage as the first series created by Jon Favreau for Disney+.”
Apparently, Mando won’t begin filming because Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi will be using the stages for several more months. Moreover, Lane wonders whether Pascal’s work on The Last of Us might be another reason for the delay in production on “Mando III.”
So, I guess it’s time to practice a little patience, just like good little padawans, no?
