The film is the first animated feature to be distributed by 20th Centruy Studios; while also being the first animated feature film to be produced by Locksmith Animation.
This new trailer for Ron’s Gone Wrong shows the story follows Barney- a middle school kid who just wants to be able to make some friends- and his desire for the brand new, digitally interconnected, B-Bot.
Barney’s dad does bring his son a one-of-a-kind robot; just not the B-Bot Barney expected.
Enter Ron. A highly flawed piece of machinery whose seemingly endless malfunctions and innocent demeanor make for a unique adventure of friendship and hilarity.
Ron’s Gone Wrong looks to be a beautiful story that displays the power of friendship, children’s use of technology for popularity, and what it means to judge a book by its cover.
The director trio of Ron’s Gone Wrong has been involved with some of the industry’s most successful animated films and franchises; being involved with both Disney and Pixar.
Jean-Phillips Vine had worked on films like The Good Dinosaur, Inside Out, and Cars 3. Octavio E. Rodriguez had previously worked on Coco, Monsters University, and Incredible 2. Finally, Sarah Smith had worked on Arthur Christmas, The Pirates! band of Misfits, among other live-action projects.
The film is currently slated to debut on October 22nd of this year despite several delays. With a theatrical release likey under the 20th Century Studios banner, there has yet to be an announcement on the platforms that will have the film available.
The film stars acting and comedy veteran Zach Galifinakis and should be an absolute blast for the entire family!
