Harrison Ford Voice Over Commercial For ESB Goes Viral
Star Wars actor Mark Hamill and voice actor Stephen Stanton spread the fun….
In case you need a pick me up, Stephen Stanton (you’ve heard him) and Mark Hamill (you’ve definitely heard of him), spread some Star Wars love over the weekend.

The love featured a Star Wars video featuring a voiceover from Han Solo himself, Harrison Ford.
ESB Commercial Redux
First shown in summer 1979, The Empire Strikes Back teaser boasts some amazing footage, including a sultry shot of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia going in for a smooch.
On this day 41 years ago, #StarWars "The Empire Strikes Back" made its debut opening in theaters across the country. Here's the original trailer that Harrison Ford did the VO on. See if you can spot any other Easter Eggs. pic.twitter.com/4vzKDD62yB

Stanton plays numerous voices throughout the Star Wars galaxy (from Admiral Raddus in Rogue One to Obi-Wan Kenobi in Rebels).
Check out the below tweet.
People have asked me what's the most significant scene I've done in #StarWars over the years & after long thought, I'd have to say it's the Maul/Kenobi death scene from #StarWarsRebels. The recording of this so spoke to me of the mixed emotions of anger, forgiveness & letting go. pic.twitter.com/RvHmYDDyXV

Anyway, he started the whole thing, tweeting (on May 21), “On this day 41 years ago, #StarWars The Empire Strikes Back made its debut opening in theaters across the country. Here’s the original trailer that Harrison Ford did the VO on. See if you can spot any other Easter Eggs.”
Of course, Mark Hamill spotted it; viral tweeting ensued.

Harassing Harrison
Now, some background, Mark loves, loves, LOVES teasing Harrison Ford.
For example, take a look at Hamill doing an impression of Harrison:
So, of course, Hamill tweets:
“I had never seen this before. Retweeting it for Harrison’s incredibly dynamic VO performance alone! #FantasticFieryFord…”
(please ignore the part where I make a move on my sister)😚😳

And, also of course, if there’s anything Hamill likes more than teasing Harrison, it’s making fun of himself.
Speaking to Stanton’s mention of Easter Eggs, Mark quipped:

“(please ignore the part where I make a move on my sister)…”
As far as other Easter Eggs, I see Threepio ripping a Wampa warning poster off a wall (unused footage). This was to set up another scene in which Stormtroopers go into that room and get mauled by Wampas. The scene was cut.
Final Thoughts From Stephen
Finally, last night, Stanton noticed the activity on the tweet, and re-posted it, saying, “#ESB UPDATE: Almost 1 million views! #StarWars still captures the imagination! Who knew a trailer from over 40 years ago would bring in close to a million views since I tweeted it on May 21 for the anniversary of the release of #TheEmpireStrikesBack! Old school still appeals!”

Here’s hoping Mr. Stanton finds many more old clips to which Mr. Hamill may quip.
Happy Monday all. #MTFBWY.
