Andor Adds Pow, Emms to an Already Fantastic Cast List
Disney+ project Andor continues to deliver details….
While Andor remains in the also-ran category regarding upcoming Star Wars projects (come on kids, admit it, Disney Plus’ other live-action projects Obi-Wan, Boba Fett, and Ahsoka — never mind The Mandalorian corner the hype market), those paying attention to the production have plenty of details to point to in terms of excitement.
With lots of pictures from filming locations, Diego Luna sightings, and fairly consistent casting news, we continue to look forward to the show’s debut.
More News About Andor
Last week, Deadline reported Robert Emmas has been added to the cast list.
Andreas Wiseman of Deadline posted, “[A]ctor Robert Emms has joined the cast of Lucasfilm and Disney+’s Rogue One spinoff series Andor, which is currently filming in the UK.

“The action-adventure series centers on the Cassian Andor character (Diego Luna, reprising his role from the film) before the events of Rogue One in the early days of the rebellion against the Empire.”
Emms has appeared most recently in Chernobyl and His Dark Materials and played in Atlantis, Happy Valley, Cleaning Up, War Horse, Apostasy, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
More Missions for Melshi?
Meanwhile, and for Rogue One fans, the more prescient news, Bespin Bulletin on Instagram reported (exclusively) Duncan Pow will reprise his role as Ruescott Melshi in Andor.
Do you remember Melshi from Rogue One?
“This is a minor scoop, but one I’ve been sitting on for over a month,” said @bespinbulletin via Instagram. “I can confidently report that Rogue One actor Dominic Pow is reprising his role as Ruescott Melshi…
“I don’t know how large of a role Melshi will have, but he’s shared scenes with Diego Luna, and Pow spent multiple weeks filming for Andor in Pinewood [Studios] and on location.”
As you remember, Melshi (as played by Pow), was the Rebel soldier who first tracked down Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) on Wobani and got a shovel to his face for the trouble.
Melshi then re-joined Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and Erso as they planned the Rebel assault on the information vault on Scarif. He, and (presumably all) of the Rebel ground troops fell in the successful attempt to transmit the plans for Project Stardust to the Rebellion.
Delivering The Death Star Plans
Those same plans, known better as the technical readouts of the Death Star, are the same secret plans Princess Leia downloads into R2-D2 at the beginning of Star Wars: A New Hope.
