Patrick Stump Records Theme For ‘Spidey’ Disney Junior Show
While the news for the Spidey and His Amazing Friends Disney Junior show has been slow since the announcement way back in 2019, the theme song has officially been released today and has been recorded by Patrick Stump.
Stump originally found fame in 2001 with the massively successful band Fall Out Boy, before branching off into solo projects.
Solo projects from the star include producing and recording numerous pieces for soundtracks, including a song for 2018’s animated feature Charming and the ride score for the Incredible Hulk Coaster at Universal Orlando.
Spidey and His Amazing Friends‘ target audience will be pre-schoolers, fitting in with other Disney Junior shows such as Mira, Royal Detective and the brand new The Chicken Squad, which premiered in early May of 2021.
The show will have a similar feel Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends that aired for two years between 1981-1983 on NBC.
One major difference will be that instead of teaming up with Firestar and Iceman, Spider-Man is teaming up with two new friends to fight the forces of evil.
The time, Peter will be joined by Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen who will occasionally be joined by other beloved heroes such as Black Panther and Hulk.
The trio will find themselves conquering evil while also teaching children the power of friendship, cooperation, and using your own abilities to help others.
