Zebra Baby Dash Has Made His Debut on the Savanna
Here at MickeyBlog, We though what better way to wind down on this Thursday evening than by sharing with some baby animals! There was a very important milestone at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this week as baby Zebra Dash officially made his debut on the Savanna.
Guests on the Kilimanjaro Safari could see Dash along with his mom Heidi out greeting the guests.
As Dr Mark from Disney’s Animal Kingdom advised, Dash continues to live up to his name as he’s now known for dashing around the savanna.
He is definitely keeping the Animal Care Team on their toes as he familiarizes himself with the parks other animal inhabitants!
Dash is a Hartmann’s mountain zebra and if you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that he was the first zebra birth of 2021!

He was born as part of the Species Survival Plan which is overseen by Disney’s incredible team of Animal Care team in conjunction with the Associations of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA.) It is through plans like these that Disney is able to assure reponsible breeding for endangered species which helps to create a health and diverse animal population.
They grow up so fast!
