Walt Disney World Hiring Blitz Continues
Housekeeping, quick-service food, and reservations, oh my! Walt Disney World continues to look for new talent to join the cast prior to the 50th annivesary celebration this fall.
Yesterday, the Walt Disney World Cast and Community Facebook page shared an inspirational post featuring photographs of cast members in their roles across the Walt Disney resort, including Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
What Roles Need Filling
A quick look at the Walt Disney World jobs boards shows a wealth of roles available within the parks and resorts, especially on the culinary teams and in quick-service food and beverage.
Though the culinary jobs are both part-time and full-time, the food & beverage quick-service roles only offer full-time employment.
“Food & Beverage Quick Service Restaurant Cast Members are responsible for working in a fast-paced environment at either indoor counter service or at outdoor vending location taking orders, cash handling, food preparation, stocking condiments, and keeping the work location clean,” according to the posting on Disney Careers. These roles start at $14 and, of course, also come with the task of creating “a magical and enjoyable experience.”
Both Advanced Line Cooks and Prep Cooks are needed to create those mouth-watering delights served throughout the resort from quick-service to Four Star experiences. The roles range at starting hourly pay rates of $18 and $14.50, resepectively.
The Return of the Disney College Program
The ever-popular Disney College Program also continues to look for cast members to join this year’s recruiting class. With new resort-style living spaces and a history of incredible mentorship, the program offers a wealth of placements and experiences for students and recent graduates.
Ranch Hand Roles at Tri-Circle-D
For those with experience in equine care, Disney is also currently hiring ranch hands to take care of Cinderella’s beloved horses at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. Ranch Hand Hosts and Hostesses roles begin at $14.50/hour.
As Walt Disney World slowly increases capacity resort-wide, we are sure to see this trend in hiring continue preparation for “the most magical celebration on Earth,” which is set to begin on October 1st. The celebration will bring new attractions, theming and lighting design to the parks in a much-anticipated celebration of its 50th anniversary.
