The Centerpiece of the Polynesian’s Porte Cochere Is Ready To Go Up!
We’ve got something very special to share with you Disney Friends! As you know we’ve been updating you on the progress of the construction currently happening at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
One of the main highlights is a new Porte Cochere that will welcome guests to the property with a stunning centerpiece in the middle. Well check out what we’ve found below!
That’s right, this beamed centerpiece which gives a tip-of-the-hat to the large pylons on the Ceremonial House looks like it’s ready to be moved in place!
It’s perfectly in keeping with the resort’s aesthetic and features panels in stunning hues of orange and red.
It keeps that Mid-Century Modern Polynesian design with its clean lines and geometric shapes!
Just last week, we shared images with you of the frame for the centerpiece being built.
However, at the time we weren’t quite sure yet whether it was.
The Polynesian Resort has currently closed off the parking lot so that they can construct some of the elements and then move them over using a crane.
We can’t wait to see this stunning feature once it has pride of place at the Polynesian entrance!
It looks like outstanding work is finally nearing completion on the property with the Deluxe Resort ready to welcome back guests last month!
As we previously reported, work to the new Moana-themed guest rooms has wrapped up.
As we’ve also reported, work is currently being carried out to the second level monorail station.
Guests will now have more room to spread out while they wait for the trains to take them to Magic Kingdom or on to EPCOT!
Cosmetic enhancements are also being made inside the Main Ceremonial Hall.
This includes new lighting and décor.
