Jonas Bros. Join “The Late Late Show” for Disney Origin Spoof

How did Eeorye fall into despair? Why did the woman in “Beauty and the Beast” desperately need six eggs? Whatever happened to Tony, the Italian chef who famously dined Lady and the Tramp? In a set of new parodies featuring the Jonas Brothers and James Corden on The Late Late Show, we find out.

The sketch begins with the group’s take on why Eeyore became so gloomy. His pile of bills growing, Eeryore, played in the spoof by Joe Jonas, decides to get a second job to help out. Instead,he finds himself in a dark world as “Drug Mule.” He even loses his beloved tail … again.

Next, Corden takes on the role of Tony, the Italian chef famous for romantically dining Lady and the Tramp on their charming spaghetti-and-meatball date night.

Tragically though, the parody reveales that the chef’s luck swiftly changed after that moment. Customers accused him of serving “the worst spaghetti I have ever had in my life.” It’s not a Bella Notte for Tony as his wife leaves him, the manager threatens his job, and he finally snaps.

Poor Tony might as well “Spaghettabout It,” which is the title of origin story spoof.

What about the lady frantically crying for six eggs in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” you ask? Well, according to Corden and the Jonas brothers, her story is so fascinating that she will get her own origin film as well.

“I think this child can live, if he eats … six eggs,” the doctor (Joe Jonas) tells the exasperated woman (Kevin Jonas), as she clutches her sick baby. Unlike in the original motion picture, she at least only has one of her five children in her arms in the scene.

No wonder she seems so desperate for those eggs though in the spoof, aptly titled, “Six Eggs Away from Six Feet Under.”

The sketch focused on the next origin stories that Disney could produce in honor of today’s release of “Cruella,” the brilliant, unpredictable and sinister origin story of arguably the best Disney villian of all times, Cruella de Vil. “Cruella” can be purchased for $29.99 on Disney+ today, but you will need a subscription to the streaming service to purchase.
