Must-Ride Disney World Attractions for Adults
If you’re like me, then you’re a grown adult who LOVES Disney World. Who says it’s just for kids?
Sure, I love bringing my children to Disney; but I also love sneaking away for an adults-only getaway!
These attractions are tops on my list when I’m heading to Disney sans-kiddos:
Avatar: Flight of Passage
This Animal Kingdom attraction is located in Pandora. This “land” is a must-visit place on its own, especially at nighttime, but it’s also home to Flight of Passage.
Disney’s Imagineers have integrated magical technology that will make you feel like you are soaring over the landscape of Pandora.
You’ll hear, see, and even smell your surroundings as you feel your banshee breathing beneath you.
Soarin’ Around the World
Head to The Land Pavilion at Epcot to experience this hang gliding global adventure!
You’ll cruise over the Great Wall of China, soar through the African savanna, and just miss scraping the tops of the Great Pyramids in Egypt.
Best of all, the immersive aerial footage is projected on an 80-foot IMAX dome, so you will truly feel like your soaring around the world.
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
This favorite Magic Kingdom attraction has recently reopened to fans’ jubilation!
The PeopleMover is a 10-minute ride that’s the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the park. As you relax, you’ll go behind the scenes of Tomorrowland and inside attractions like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Space Mountain.
You’ll also get a glimpse of the Tron construction as well as a breathtaking view of Cinderella’s Castle.
We recommend checking out this attraction at nighttime for a totally different experience!
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Step on it! This Hollywood Studios attraction literally takes you from 0-60!
Your super-stretch limo winds you through the streets of L.A. while you rock out to the music of Aerosmith.
The lines here can get long, so check out the single rider line for shorter wait times.
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Trek through the African savanna at Animal Kingdom where you’ll spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and more!
If you ride at nighttime, you’ll see animals who aren’t usually active during the day.
This attraction is interesting as it is educational with a theme of conservation.
Toy Story Mania
Head to Hollywood Studios for a little arcade fun with Toy Story Mania! You’ll go head-to-head with your riding partner in a game featuring favorite Toy Story characters like Buzz and Woody.
What’s the best part? The winner gets bragging rights!
Expedition Everest
Animal Kingdom is home to this “thrill” ride, but you better watch out for the Yeti!
Expedition Everest is themed as a Tibetan-style stone structure at the base of Mt. Everest. Once on board, you’ll whip down hills – and even zip backwards!
This roller coaster features a single rider line for those who’d rather skip long wait times.
Rise of the Resistance
Well, we couldn’t end this list without the main attraction at Disney World these days!
Make your way to Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for an experience truly unlike any other.
Keep in mind, though, that you will need to secure a Boarding Group to ride! See our recent article with tips and tricks for scoring this coveted virtual pass.
We know you’ll love these attractions – as well as all of the rides at Walt Disney World. They are extra magical for kids of all ages – even those of us who are “technically” adults.
