Social Distancing Relaxed at Main Street Shops
MickeyBlog is coming to you from the Magic Kingdom where we noticed some changes to Disney’s social distancing policies while shopping on Main Street USA.
All entrance and exit markers have been removed from the doorway at The Emporium.
These were here earlier in the week but is one of many changes Disney is making to the parks as the CDC continues to advise that the country can ease up on COVID restrictions.
In addition, for shops like the Emporium, Cast Members were usually stationed at the doors to advise guests of the health and safety policies and to manage traffic flow!
That is no longer the case as of this morning!
This is in addition to recent changes we’ve reported over the last few weeks including the fact that guests no longer need to wear facemasks when walking around outdoors!
Disney has also reduced social distancing requirements from 6 feet down to 3 feet.
We suspect that we’ll so more changes like this in the weeks ahead!
Disney CEO Bob Chapek has already said that Disney is looking to increase capacity at Disney World theme parks going into the busy Summer Season.
