The Disneyland Hotel Will Reopen July 2 With a New Look
And, just like that, we are almost all complete! When Disneyland first reopened its door back in April, only Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa was opened. A few weeks later, it was announced that the Paradise Pier Hotel would reopen on June 15. And, today, I am so excited to report that the iconic Disneyland Hotel will reopen on July 2!
Upon reopening of the Disneyland Hotel, only the Fantasy Tower will be open for Guests. But, that doesn’t mean there is not plenty of magic in store! The Fantasy Tower features lots of extra pixie dust with hidden Mickey and one of my favorite details in all of the Disney Hotels and Resorts – The light up headboard with fireworks and that plays the song I sing to my kids every night, “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.”
During the time Disneyland’s first and AAA Four Diamond Hotel, the Disneyland Hotel, was closed, Disney took the time to do a little refurbishment. Once Guests return to the Disneyland Hotel once is reopens in July, they will be treated to updated upholstery and fabrics in all guest rooms, lobbies, and meeting rooms.
In addition, a new fireworks pattern – to match the headboards – will be featured on the carpet in the guest rooms. The beds in the rooms have also received an overhaul with upgraded platforms to give Guests even more room for storage.
In the corridors at the Disneyland Hotel, Guests will notice new patterns in the floor that were inspired by the iconic art of Mary Blair with “graphic elements recalling the park lands each of the towers are named for.”
The magic isn’t just inside the Disneyland Hotel either! Guests staying at the Hotel when it reopens are invited to take a splash in one of the themed pools, ride down the Monorail water slides, relax and unwind in the Mickey and Minnie whirlpools or even rent a cabana. As always, a nice leisurely stroll around the property is also a nice way to end an exciting day in the Parks.
I am also happy to report that my favorite, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, will be open when the Disneyland Hotel reopens on July 2! Tangaora Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill as well as the Coffee House will also be open. PRO TIP: Use the Mobile Order feature on your Disneyland app!
If you plan on visiting the Disneyland Park and/or Disney California Adventure Park, make sure you also have a valid ticket along with a theme park reservation made in advance. This is required for all Guests 3 and up and theme park reservations are limited. Currently, only those who are California residents are permitted entry to the theme parks.
Face coverings or a mask are also still required for all Guests ages 2 and older everywhere on the Disneyland Resort. Let us know in the comments below how excited you are that an official reopening date for the Disneyland Resort has been announced!
