BREAKING: Face Masks No Longer Required Outdoors at Walt Disney World
It’s been 308 days. Three hundred and eight days since Walt Disney World reopened on July 11, 2020. Guests have become accustomed to wearing facemasks at all times other than when eating and drinking (and stationary).
Since that day in July, guests have been required to wear face coverings at all times when outdoors other than when eating and drinking while stationary. Effective this morning, that is no longer the case.
Walt Disney World updated their website last night with new guidance. Essentially they say that face coverings are required indoors, but are now optional while outdoors.
This news comes on the heels of Universal Orlando Resort making a similar announcement prior in the evening. Here is the new wording on the Walt Disney World website.
