The New Barn at Tri-Circle-D Ranch Has Been Open For a Whole Year!
This week marked a momentous occasion for Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground!
A year ago, the brand new barn was unveiled! To celebrate the one year milestone, the Ranch got a little visit from none other than Mickey Mouse! Let’s take a look at the official post from Dr. Mark here:

Dr. Mark sent out a HUGE congratulations for the Ranch Hands who have worked so hard over the last year to ensure a seamless transition to the new barn. Over the last 12 months they were there for the opening of Fort Wilderness, welcomed three new pony foals (Violet, Obe and Peaches) and have fed the horses and ponies over 64,000 pounds of grain and 16, 000 bales of hay.
Also a huge congratulations to the 85 horses who call the barn home!

For those unfamiliar, the ranch has a long history of housing “The Happiest Horses on Earth” and was in keeping with Walt’s vision to bring horses to the theme parks. The Ranch has been around since Disney World opened 50 years ago but has had location changes and upgrades over the years.
The new barn offers plenty of space for the horses and ponies to have play time, features larger stalls for the horses and includes 10 new additional stalls. Best of all, the stalls even come with automatic water stations.
These new digs are twice the size of the original barn and also feature two tack rooms, a wedding harness room featuring the tack used for Cinderella’s magical ponies and a museum that showcases Walt’s love of horses.
