Whispering Canyon Cafe No Longer Requiring Temperature Screenings
I reported just a few days ago that Disney announced they would be halting all temperature screenings starting today for Cast Members and May 16th for guests. Well, MickeyBlog popped over to Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge, and to our surprise, they are no longer doing temperature screenings upon check-in for reservations.
Masks will still be required until you are seated at your table. And as you can see from the picture below, social distancing is still being enforced as not every table is in use. No word on when that will be lifted at this time.
Disney released a statement that said that they were continuing to follow CDC guidelines, and lifting the temperature screenings was one of the protocols that were the first to go.

Disney states:
As this guidance continues to evolve, and with the support of local health and government officials, we are making some additional adjustments. Following the advice of the CDC and our local health officials, we will phase out onsite temperature screenings at Walt Disney World Resort for Cast Members beginning May 8 and Guests on May 16.
I assume many other restaurants will follow suit with Whispering Canyon Cafe, and the parks shortly after.
Othe safety protocols are starting to get rolled back ever so slowly. Guests can now take their masks off for photos, which was not allowed when the parks first reopened.
Social distancing will still stay in place, even though the CDC state this protocol can go from 6 feet to 3 feet effective immediately.
