Ethan Hawke is one of the most beloved actors of his generation.

And from Dead Poets Society to Reality Bites to Before Sunrise to The Purge to, well, a whole lotta stuff – he’s been in a lot of memorable movies.
But now, the Academy Award-nominee is cast in Moon Knight, one of Disney Plus’ Marvel Cinematic Universe TV shows currently filming.

Hawke in Hungary
Reporter Budapest, caught a view of the famous thespian recently as he walked to the set in Hungary.

One of our contacts was lucky enough to spot Ethan Hawke on set, dressed in a brown tweed suit/blazer with a walking cane in his hand (the cane is not visible on the picture). The actor was channeling his “mad scientist” look with his long, greyish let out hair which got us thinking – who could be the four-time Academy nominee actor playing in the show?

Of course, we’re still waiting on which character Hawke will play in the series.

But who — exactly — is Moon Night? We have some answers. First of all Oscar Issac (“Poe Dameron” in Star Wars, “Apocalypse” in X-Men) will be the titular hero.

Yes, Dracula.
In terms of the Marvel universe, neither of those names turns my head. But Reporter Budapest speculated that Dracula could tie the upcoming Blade (Marvel vampire) movie into the Moon Knight story.
Who knows, but as a contemporary of Hawke’s and someone who has enjoyed his work, I am excited to see him enter the MCU.
