All Local COVID Orders in Florida Suspended Effective Immediately Including Mask Mandates
Just last week, Mayor Demings of Orange County Florida, announced a three phased plan to roll back COVID orders including a mask mandate for the county and the immediate change in social distancing guidelines. That mask mandate and other COVID-related guidelines will likely be coming to an end even sooner as the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, has just announced that he has suspended all local COVID orders will be suspended effective immediately.
In addition to ending all local COVID orders in Florida effective immediately, DeSantis has signed a bill that will invalidate all local emergency orders as of July 1, 2021. The bill also will ban the much talked about “COVID-19” passports for the state.
Will masks soon be gone at Walt Disney World?

DeSantis made the announcement this morning during a stop in St. Petersurg, Florida. He said, “We’re no longer in a state of emergency.”

Just last week, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommend that those who have been fully-vaccinated no longer had to wear masks outdoors while in small crowds. They did still recommend them though for those who are fully-vaccinated and were attending events that draw large crowds such as concerts and sporting events.

While this likely means the end to the mask mandate in Orange County, it will be interesting to see what this will mean to Walt Disney World. Since Walt Disney World is a private company, they do not have to abide by this executive order that was just announced by DeSantis.
Just last month, Walt Disney World did take the first step to rolling back their mask mandate by allowing Guests who are taking photos to remove them. It is my thoughts that Disney will roll back their mask mandate in phased approach and hopefully it won’t be too much longer before they are no longer required in outdoor environments in the Parks.
