White Castle Opening in Orlando on May 3rd
A new burger joint will be opening right down the road from Disney World. White Castle will open its largest free-standing restaurant in the world right here in Orlando! And guess what, they will deliver to Walt Disney World resorts! The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place tomorrow, Monday, May 3rd.

The new White Castle location is a 4,500 square foot restaurant located in the O-Town West development which is on Daryl Carter Parkway near Disney World. The restaurant will also feature 2 drive-thru lanes and indoor and outdoor seating.

“The Orlando Castle will be open for take-out, dine-in, and drive-thru service from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. on grand opening day, then reopen on Tuesday with regular operating hours 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., seven days per week. At some point in the future, White Castle will operate 24 hours per day,” the company previously said.

The burger chain is known for its delicious tiny burgers, but their menu has so much more to offer like chicken & waffles, breakfast items, and desserts.

Did you know that White Castle was the first fast-food chain in the United States? They first started in 1921 in Kansas. The company’s website reads: “In 1921, Billy Ingram launched a family-owned business with $700 and an idea, selling five-cent, small, square hamburgers so easy to eat, they were dubbed Sliders and sold by the sack.” It’s also worth mentioning that they are recognized as the first fast-food hamburger chain to sell 1 billion hamburgers. That’s quite an accomplishment!
