BREAKING NEWS: Disney Reveals Kids Only Areas on Disney Wish
As any parent who has ever been on a Disney Cruise will tell you, one of the biggest advantages of Disney’s incredible ships are the Kids Only areas where kids from 6 months all the way up to 17 years can enjoy imaginative encounters, fun activities and a big dose of Disney magic while moms and dads enjoy some rest and relaxation!
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog, you’ll know that Disney Cruise Line just released exciting details about their Kids Only zones aboard the Disney Wish and let me tell you, they are absolutely spectacular! So much so that we wanted to take a few minutes and break them all down for you!

Disney’s Oceaneers Club
This haven for children between the ages of 3 and 12, the Oceaneer’s Club is wildly popular on Disney’s other ships and we are pleased to say that a version will also be on the Disney Wish! Kids are sure to love these imaginative and immersive hangouts.
The themed spaces will offer entertainment, arts and crafts, dress-ups, toy, games and Disney movie screenings. Disney characters will also be on hand to usher in the fun. The Oceaneers Club will be located on deck 2 of the ship and in a neat feature, parents will be able to check in their children in the Grand Hall (on Deck 3) where they’ll go down a special rabbit hole complete with twisting slide that will land directly in the central hub of the club. This central area will be decorated with black and white sketches of Disney and Pixar characters. They’ll even be a stage for special shows!

Marvel Super Hero Academy
Marvel fans are sure to love the Marvel Super Hero Academy aboard the Disney Wish! This specially themed area will serve as a “high tech Avengers headquarters.” Here young heroes in training will learn what it takes to be the next Super Hero! It will be a great opportunity to meet many Marvel friends including Spider-Man, Ant-Man, Wasp, Black Panther and more!
Kids will even be able to choose a superhero suit among a set based on Marvel heroes like Iron Man and Captain Marvel and watch as their choices become nanotech forms around mannequins! With “Avengers: Mission Training” kids will then be able to put their new suits and skills to work to virtually battle some bad guys.

Fairytale Hall
Fairytale Hall is the name given to a trio of activity rooms where kids can hang out with some of your favorite Disney Princesses (and Frozen Queens!) They can head over to Rapunzel’s Art Studio where kids can make their own arts and crafts projects. Or how about a visit to Belle’s Library? Here tiny passengers can enjoy a comfy space perfect for reading and acting out stories (with a little help from Disney characters of course.) We are told that there will even be an enchanted painting above the fireplace in the library that can bring stories to life!
And let’s not forget something for all you Frozen fans! Anna and Elsa have a summer cabin at sea where you can unlock icy powers with a gesture-based game called “Frozen Fun.” Hosted by Olaf, in-game activities include snowball fights with the trolls, Snowgie hunting and so much more!
Walt Disney Imagineering Lab
This space is dedicated to showing kids what it’s like to be a Disney Imagineer. Here adventurers will find hands-on activities, be able to conduct awesome experiments and may even get a chance to hang out with the one and only Sorcerer Mickey!
Also in the Imagineering Lab, kids will find the Ride Studio where you can create your very own roller coaster. Kids will then be able to climb into your own ride vehicle and virtually experience the awesome ride that you made!
It’s a Small World Nursery
The Disney Wish will also offer a full-staffed nursery for kids between the ages of 6 months – 3 years. Parents and tiny tots can take advantage of babysitter services in a whimsical environment inspired by the famous “it’s a small world” attraction at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. There will be a whole host of activities for little ones from playing games and reading books to fun character encounters.
Toddlers can even take a playful trip around the world with Disney, Pixar and Marvel characters that have been reimagined as dolls form the “It’s a small world” attraction. The space will also feature magical murals and hands-on activities The nursery aboard the Wish is sure to be a place of wonder where kids can make icy powers appear from Elsa’s hand and send Aladdin and Jasmine off on a Magic Carpet ride.

Fun on the Disney Wish isn’t just limited to tiny tots. Kids between the ages of 11-14 can hang out in a bright, colorful space that draws its inspiration from a hip New York City loft. Highlights will include a faux-grass picnic area, photo walls and a secret entrance hidden behind a framed piece of art that updates traditional paintings into pop-art with (Disney) character. Imagine Minnie as the ‘Girl With the Pearl Earring” or Donald as Salvador Dali!
Vibe
Teens between the ages of 14-17 will love this trendy hangout. This is the perfect spot to meet new friends, watch movies, play games, and enjoy special entertainment offerings just for them. The setting was inspired by a Parisian artists loft with an “electric retro” twist. This teens only hangout will also have floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the ocean!
There will be so much for kids of all ages to enjoy when the Disney Wish sets sail next Summer! The inaugural voyage will be a 5-night Bahamian sailing that departs on June 9, 2022 with stops in Nassau, Bahamas and Castaway Cay. Bookings will open to the general public on May 27,2021 and on May 17 for select DVC, Castaway Club and Adventures By Disney members.
