Why Disney’s Riviera Resort is My New Favorite Resort
Disney’s Riviera Resort is the newest Disney resort at Walt Disney World. Riviera Resort first opened in December of 2019. The resort is a beautiful with European Architecture, Disney mosaics, paintings and art work, and an amazing table service restaurant.
Although Riviera Resort is the newest Disney resort, it is quickly becoming my favorite and here’s why!
Top Reasons to Stay At Disney’s Riviera Resort:
Cast Members
We have never had such a wonderful experience with cast members than what we had a Riviera Resort. During our first visit I think the staff to guest ratio was 10:1. As soon as we entered the lobby we were greeted by 6 cast members who offered to help us and went above and beyond.
Every cast member greeted us with “Welcome Home.” I have found Riviera employees to be some of the friendliest on Walt Disney World property.
Attention to Detail
Beautiful artwork covers the resort in the hallways, lobby, common areas, and resort rooms. One area of the Resort has Disney movie posters from various European countries and a room near the lobby with memorabilia from Walt Disney’s own European trips.
The Skyliner entrance has beautiful mosaics depicting scenes from Tangled and Peter Pan. One particular detail I loved was the toilet paper was even stamped with the Rivera Resort emblem.
Beautiful Rooms
The rooms at Riviera Resort, in my opinion, are the nicest on property. They are also the newest on property. The bathrooms have a split bathroom design with a separate shower and bathtub making it convenient for families.
The rooms also have Disney artwork, marble bathrooms, and are equipped with a kitchen or kitchenette depending on the room type.
Restaurants
Riviera Resort has one table service restaurant and 3 Quick Service Restaurants. Riviera’s table service restaurant is Topolino’s Terrace. Topolino’s is a character breakfast for breakfast and a Signature Dining location for dinner.
It is our new favorite restaurant on Disney Property. The quick service locations are Primo Piatto, Le Petit Cafe, and Bar Riva.
Location and Transportation Options
Riviera Resort is connected via Skyliner to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. You can use a Disney bus for access to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. You can also walk to Caribbean Beach Resort and the Caribbean Beach Resort Skyliner station.
The Skyliner is amazing form of transportation. It is efficient and quick. It only took us about 5-10 minutes to get to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
