James Gunn Has Finished The Script For the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
It’s definitely going to happen people! James gone took to Twitter this week to reveal that he has officially finished the script for the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special which will be making its debut on Disney+.

As you can see from the tweet above, the Christmas special was first announced by Disney back in December. And apparently, according to Gunn, it had been a long time in the making. He said in a subsequent treat, “I wrote the treatment years ago and jut finally finished the script,” Gunn said in another tweet. Check out the cover page in the tweet below!

“This is the wrapping,” Gunn said on social media, captioning a post with a photo of the cover for the finished Holiday Special script. “The present in inside.” We love the touch of the script being penned by James “Long Elf” Gunn.
Things are getting pretty darn busy for Gunn who also directed DC’s The Suicide Squad and later this year will start filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.
As we previously reported here at MickeyBlog, Gunn is also shooting brand new footage for the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster which is a brand new indoor coaster currently under construction at EPCOT.

So does Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special actually fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline!? Yup. According to Comicbook.com, it takes place after the events of Thor: Love and Thunder but before the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
