Introducing the NFL x Disney Apparel Collection
I absolutely love when two of my passions collide and that’s why I am excited to announce a new collaboration between the NFL and Disney for an all-new apparel collection!
The new collection by Junk Food Clothing will feature unisex short sleeve shirts with throwback designs of Mickey Mouse, and popular characters from the Star Wars franchise and Marvel. Junk Food Clothing approached Disney about the collection after they had a similar, successful collaboration between Spongebob SquarePants and the NFL earlier this year. In addition. Disney and the NFL have worked together in the past.

The Walt Disney Company has has other plans to work with the NFL in the future. Just recently, the NFL and ESPN signed a deal worth $2.55 billion a year for the rights to Monday Night Football from 2023 to 2033.
Joe Ruggiero, Senior Vice President of Consumer Products for the NFL said in an interview: “We are always thinking about how we can provide the right sort of product that speaks to our fans. We’ve got the draft coming up as a great point of fan enthusiasm, and part of this could actually tie in with some of the Star Wars May the 4th opportunities that always arise. We really looked at this as an opportunity to really lean into heritage and nostalgia for both Disney and the NFL.”

“We are always looking for ways to engage with our fans in new and unexpected ways, and this collaboration with the NFL allows us to do just that,” said Josh Silverman who is Executive Vice President for Third-Party Communication of Disney Consumer Products, Games, and Publishing. He went on to say, “Fans can now celebrate their favorite teams and characters from Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars, and al in time for the 2021 NFL season to begin.”

In addition, select Lid’s Shops and Rally House Stores as well as NFL team retail locations and on-site NFL Shop retail locations at the NFL Draft in Cleveland will carry the new collection.
