You Can’t Have a Railroad Without a Track!
MickeyBlog spent the afternoon at Magic Kingdom where we noticed some BIG changes at the Storybook Circus Train Station.
Because of construction on the TRON coaster coming to Tomorrowland, Disney has had to shut down the railroad at Magic Kingdom to make some essential adjustments to the track.
As you can see from these images the New Fantasyland Station, which you’ll find new the Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction is all roped off with caution tape.
Below is an image of the current TRON construction from a bit further down the track. You can see where the railroad track has been removed at the green barrier.
The railroad will remain out of commission until the massive canopy for the Tron coaster is completed at which point adjustments will be made.
Its very eerie in these images to see the familiar Storybook Circus station stop but without the familiar tracks!
Disney World hasn’t given a timeline yet for this entire project to be completed but as we inch ever closer to Disney World’s 50th Anniversary (which officially kicks off on October 1st) we expect more details to be revealed.
In the meantime, those magical words “ALL ABOARD” will have to live on in our memories!
We cant wait for the train to make a return! Walt Disney was a massive train enthusiast who even built a railroad in his backyard!
The Walt Disney World railroad is also a tip-of-the-hat to the Disneyland Railroad which opened with Walt’s first theme park back in 1965.
