BREAKING NEWS: Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny Go On An Egg Hunt At Magic Kingdom
Frolic would be a great way to describe the scene that we saw at the Magic Kingdom today.
Just to the right of Cinderella Castle as you head over to Tomorrowland there is a landscaped area.
During our visit to the theme park this afternoon as we were strolling through the grounds we saw none other than Ms. Easter Bunny.
And Mr Easter Bunny entering this grounds for one of the most magical character encounters we’ve seen at Disney.
In years past, you used to be able to meet these magical Easter Bunnies at the Magic Kingdom on Easter Weekend.
However, because of COVID-19 restrictions, traditional character meet and greets have been suspended.
As an alternative, Disney has created these random Disney moments that happen throughout the day and feature characters.
The key here is that you can observe these from a distance.
This particular experience was absolutely priceless!
As you can see, Easter Bunny arrived with some Easter Eggs in his basket.
There where about half a dozen in beautiful colors!
He entered the garden with his goodies!
And he started looking for the perfect hiding spots!
He proceeded to hide the eggs around the garden!
He was scurrying around trying to get them all hidden before Mrs Easter Bunny caught on!
Our MickeyBlogger loved photographing him hiding the eggs!
He even took a minute to wave to the cameras.
Once all of the eggs were placed in the garden it was time for Mrs. Bunny to start looking!
She certainly seems up for the challenge.
Mrs. Bunny has come dressed for the occasion in her beautiful pastel Easter dress.
She headed over to the garden where she began to look for the treasures!
Loving a good Egg Hunt, Mrs Easter Bunny went straight to work.
Here she found a purple egg!
She picks them up and adds them to the basket.
Look behind you!
It was certainly a race against the “Castle” clock!
Mrs. Easter Bunny claps her hands having found the orange egg!
She getting ready to add it to her collection!
Mr. Bunny was on hand the whole time looking on with excitement!
He would even give her clues from time to time. It was so cute!
“Over there!” he says!
In the image below, he’s having a chuckle because it’s right by her foot and Mrs. Bunny can’t see it!
We saw this lovely game taking place a few times throughout the day.
We suspect that similar appearances will be happening throughout the Easter weekend.
So if you’ll be visiting Magic Kingdom, be on the lookout for this unique experience.
As we mentioned above, we saw this Easter Egg hunt taking place to the right of the Castle as if you were heading over to Tomorrowland.
If you feel that you can’t find it, do ask a cast member.
They should be able to assist you!
The Bunnies will also switch rolls.
We also saw Mrs. Bunny hiding the eggs as well!
The bunnies also take time to stop and pose for photos with guests.
Barriers are in place that stop you from getting to close to the characters.
However, you can get close enough to get some good selfies!
We managed to snap around 80 photos during our brief bunny encounter!
It certainly put us in the mood for Easter!
You can see both bunnies striking a pose.
The Easter Bunny is looking particularly dapper in his top hat and tails!
He was more than happy to tip his hat to the crowd!

The area is nice and open which makes it easy to stay socially distanced as you snap your photos!
It should be noted though that PhotoPass photographers are NO LONGER available at these experiences.

However, if you do head over to Disney Springs for the Easter Bunny photo op, do be prepared to wait!
We’re hearing reports from those at Walt Disney World’s downtown shopping district that waits are long going into the weekend.
Though Disney World’s Easter Celebrations are scaled down from years past, there’s still much to enjoy!
Guests can take park in an Easter-egg themed scavenger hunt as part of the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!
Disney World has also REALLY upped their game this year when it comes to delicious Easter eats and treats!
You’ll find special seasonal goodies at the theme parks, resorts and Disney Springs so be on the lookout!
