PeopleMover Re-Opening Date Pushes Again

I am bringing everyone a sad update this morning. Although we previously brought you the news that the PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom was supposedly re-opening this weekend (April 4, 2021), it now looks like this isn’t the case. Disney has just updated their Refurbishment calendar and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover re-opening date is now scheduled for May 1st.

The PeopleMover gives guests a chance to board an elevated tram for a leisurely voyage through Tomorrowland. During the narrated tour, go behind the scenes of attractions like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain and Star Traders retail shop. Plus, get a sneak peek at architectural models of Progress City, the prototype for Epcot.

The fan favorite attraction has been closed since Walt Disney World re-opened after the COVID-19 shutdown. We have been diligently keeping our eyes on it and have been noticing quite a lot of Cast Member movement around the ride and lots of attraction car testing around its track. But sadly we must wait a bit longer before hearing the famous page for Mr. Tom Morrow to confirm his flight to the moon.
