Some Disney Employees To Return To Their US Offices Starting This Summer
We’ve got some awesome news for non-theme park Disney employees! According to a piece that recently appeared in Variety, a rise in vaccinations in the US coupled with a slow decrease in COVID-19 cases has meant that the Walt Disney Company is slowly starting to consider a return to work for many stateside employees.
This is expected to happen after the July 4th holiday weekend.

Walt Disney employees were notified via an internal memo but the return-to-work is being staggered. According to Variety, only a fraction of employees have been notified so far.
Disney is yet another media giant to start to strategize ways to return to “professional normalcy” after more than a year of having staff work from home due to COVID-19.
However, it is safe to safe that what many workers will be returning to will represent a “new normal” In another piece in Variety this week, the publication said that dozens of Hollywood executives working in the entertainment industry are predicting that guests will return to a very different workplace then when they left back in 2020. This includes everything from spacing out work areas to cutting capacity and even bringing in plexiglass dividers. Some offices may even require self-reported temperature checks, distanced workstations and even one directional hallways to prevent employees from passing one another.
