Get The Most Out Of Your A Touch Of Disney Visit With These Insider Tips!
Just a few short weeks ago, our very own MickeyBlogger Greg graced the Pacific shores where he was there for the opening day of A Touch of Disney a special ticketed event being held at Disney California Adventure prior to the theme park opening on April 30th. Though no rides or attractions are available for this event, it is a great opportunity to try some amazing Disneyland eats and treats and to purchase some incredible merch in the lead-in to the theme parks’ reopening.
This special ticketed event sold out within hours but if you were lucky enough to score a ticket then here are some tips to ensure that you get the most out of your visit!
Stop and Smell the Churros
If it’s been your first visit back to Disneyland in a while, this is the perfect opportunity to really take in all of the sights, smells and sounds! This special culinary event gives guests the opportunity to admire the park without the heavy crowds and the roar and whoosh of the attractions!
Dig In
Now for the real reason that we’re all here… THE FOOD! Tickets were $75 to attend A Touch of Disney which includes a $25 gift card good for food (and non-alcoholic beverages) as well as complimentary parking in the Mickey & Friends parking garage. Oh, and don’t forget to stop and have your photo taken by Disneyland’s incredible team of PhotoPass photographers as that comes with the price of your ticket as well.

Many of your favorite theme park treats have made a return including Dole Whips, the Monte Cristo Sandwich, Chili Waffle Fries and the always popular Jumbo Smoked Turkey Legs!
As part of this festive event, Disney California Adventure will also host six special marketplaces throughout the park that will be serving up Disney classics including:
- Walt’s Chili (available at D*Lish)
- Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings (Golden Dreams)
- Impossible Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese (LA Style)
- Pepperoni Pizza Egg Rolls (California Craft Brews)
This is also the perfect time to hit up popular Disney California Adventure eateries Carthay Circle and Lamplight Lounge which are serving up their signature dishes (advanced reservations are required.) These are perfect places for sipping on a martini or dipping into some Lobster Nachos while watching the world pass by.
And to keep guests safe while social distancing is still in place, guests can take advantage of contactless payment and mobile food ordering via the Disneyland mobile app. Mobile order makes it easy to peruse menus, order your favorite eats, pay for your food and let Disney know when you’re ready to pick up your meal!
Say Cheese
There are some pretty fantastic photo ops at A Touch of Disney. So when you see some wandering members of Disney’s awesome PhotoPass team be sure to stop and strike a pose. As we previously mentioned here at MickeyBlog there are not one but two awesome D23 photo backdrops! All signs point to you (or in this case Greg) and this Pacific Wharf photo op which is located just next to Chirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop. Over at D*List you’ll also find another backdrop featuring colorful Mickey Mouse illustrations and the message “Be bold. Be true. Be original. ”
And fans of WandaVision will definitely want to be on the lookout for this awesome Photo Op features some themed props from the popular Disney+ series!
You’ll find this photo spot directly next to the Mickey’s Philharmagic queue.
