Star Wars Stormtroopers Invade England’s Andor Set
Filming of the Disney+ series Star Wars: Andor is underway in England.
However, the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel show’s plot is still somewhat secret.
With that in mind, it does seem like (shocker) Cassian Andor will be avoiding stormtroopers along the way.
Stormtroopers In England
Firstly, the UK’s DailyMail.com posted:
New images of the set taken on Wednesday show Empire Stormtroopers lining the streets as a meeting takes place in the centre of the makeshift village, which has been erected in an unused quarry in the area.
There appears to be some sort of stand-off taking place at the centre of the set, which is not unlike many of the Star Wars locations used in the past, including for its most recent project, The Mandalorian.
The set is thought to be for Andor, which is slated for release in summer 2022, and has been built alongside the Spade Oak nature reserve – featuring dozens of houses creating a galactic village.
A Busy Set

Meanwhile, you can see glimpses of the set in this teaser:
Moreover, the below photo looks very much as if there are Rebellion soldiers, white-clad stormtroopers, and black-clad Death Troopers (of Rogue One fame) listening to someone talking from the middle of the circle.
Could that be Diego Luna? Maybe.
A Long Time…. Coming
StarWars.com first posted about the Cassian Andor spinoff series in 2018:
Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger announced today that Lucasfilm is in development on a second Star Wars live-action series for Disney+, the Company’s new direct-to-consumer streaming service. The series, which will go into production next year, follows the adventures of rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Diego Luna will reprise the role of Andor. “Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me,” said Luna. “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”
