As Anticipation Builds, Getting Tickets to Disneyland Once it Reopens is Going to be Harder Thank You Think
In just a little over one month, Disneyland will finally reopen after being closed for over one year. Even though Disney has announced that Disneyland is reopening on April 30, they still have yet to announce when tickets will be available.
And, once those Disneyland tickets are available, whenever that may be, getting your hands on them is going to be a chore.

First off, once Disneyland does announce the dates tickets are available for their reopening, they most likely will not announce a time. This is just something they never do when they are about to release a new product. The tickets could be available at 12:01 am or 3:00 pm or anytime in between or after, one will never know the exact time until they are live and loaded into Disneyland’s system.
Now, let’s talk for a moment about Disneyland’s IT system. To put it simply, it’s not always the best. Just recently, when the “Touch of Disney” tickets went on sale for the ticketed event at Disney California Adventure Park, the system crashed a few times and many received errors before they were even able to purchase their tickets.
In addition, there is SO much pent up demand. Everyone is ready to get out there again and enjoy all that Disneyland has to offer safely. The tickets for “Touch of Disney” sold out in just about two hours. Those tickets allowed you to visit Disney California Adventure Park, see some characters, and enjoy some amazing food, but not ride the rides or see any shows. Once Disneyland opens on April 30, most of all the attractions will be open.
Capacity restrictions are going to be another factor that will contribute to getting ticket to Disneyland’s reopening. The state of California is only allowing the theme parks in the state to operate at 15% capacity upon reopening. However, we are hearing that number might increase to 25% at any time.

There is one detail though that might making getting ticket to Disneyland’s reopening a little easier. Per the State of California, Disneyland will only be allowed to sell tickets to and admit residents of the California upon the initial reopening.
