Some Things To Know Before Your Visit To Gideon’s Bakehouse

If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog, you’ve no doubt seen us talk loads about the awesome, slightly eerie but always awesome Gideon’s Bakehouse which has become a popular sweet spot for Disney visitors and Orlando locals alike!

Home to their famous 1/2 lb. cookies and peanut butter cold brews as well as a slightly macabre aesthetic perfectly in keeping with the magic of Disney, the shop recently took to social media to share some important details to enhance your visit.

Plan On Arriving Early

Gideon’s opens at 10am but the line begins to form around 9 am when the parking garages open at Disney Springs.

Virtual Queue

Gideon’s will use virtual queues when the lines to get into the Bakehouse get too long (which is a regular occurrence.) This allows guests to visit other shops in Disney Springs while waiting for a return text. Gideon’s advises in their post that virtual queues on the weekdays usually start anytime after opening and before lunchtime and on the busier weekends can EVEN start before the shop has opened. During the virtual queue, guests will receive a text and then have 15 minutes to return to the Bakehouse to purchase your goodies.

Virtual Queue Sign-Ups Must-Be Done In Person

Want in on the Virtual Queue? Sadly you can’t sign up from the comfort of your Walt Disney World Resort room. Rather you must be at the shop in person. You’ll find staff ready to take down your details next to the bride in front of Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs!

How Long Do The Virtual Waits Get?

It depends. On weekdays, guests should expect to wait up to two hours. During busier days of the week (Fridays through Sunday) you may be asked to wait as long as five hours.

Remember. The Earlier You Arrive The Better!

Again. If Gideon’s sits at the top of your Disney Springs must-do list, then we recommend an early am arrival. Not only does this mean that your wait times will be lower than those arriving later in the day, but it also means that you’ll be able to pick up limited edition items before they sell out.

Does the Virtual Queue Run All Day?

Gideon’s advises that they typically close the virtual queue around 6pm or 7pm daily. This means that there is time for everyone in the queue to enter the shop before Disney Springs closes for the evening.

Can Have Items Delivered To My Resort Or Shipped Home?

Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs does NOT offer delivery, shipping and pre-orders. The shop does have another location at the East End Market that does offer select services.
