Another ‘Harmonious’ Barge Floats Into EPCOT’S World Showcase Lagoon
Work continues to progress on “Harmonious” in EPCOT! Just today, two of our wonderful MickeyTravel Agents, Beverly Peterson and Sarah McCowan, happened to be in EPCOT and spotted the newest “Harmonious” barge to be floated into the World Showcase Lagoon as well as some testing being done on the barges.

The testing on the “Harmonious” barges today included the running of the lights and water projection features on the barges as well as raising, lowering, twisting, and turning of some of the barges that will be part of the show.

Once complete, “Harmonious” will consist of a total of give barges on the World Showcase Lagoon in EPCOT. There are four barges with screens that will be positioned like a compass around the main six story tall “circle” barge.
Together, the five barges will bring the story of “Harmonious” to life and the main “circle” barge will serve as the focal point with a high-density water curtain, moving lights, fountains and more.

Disney Live Entertainment technical directors have been working virtually across the country to program various elements of the show.
In addition. music producers at Walt Disney Imagineering have also been working remotely by directing recording sessions with an incredibly diverse array of musical artists, performing in studios around the world. How cool is that?!

An official opening date for “Harmonious” at EPCOT has not been announced. However, rumors have been pointing to it debuting in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations that will begin on October 1, 2021 and continue on for 18 months.
